Can't wait to bite into "Club Sandwich"!
YAY! I'm not bookless anymore. I just got my copy of Lisa Samson's Club Sandwich, and I can't wait to delve in.
You may be wondering why I don't just go to the library. Well, a combination of fines, lost books and a book literally chewed by my dog amount to a fine I'm going to have to take out a second mortgage to pay for. So until that happens, I rely on the good graces of book publicists, used bookstores, garage sales, and actually plunking down several bucks for a book at Wally-World.
I know, I know, I need to pay the fine! Don't nag. :)
And thanks for the suggestions on reading material. Miss O'Hara kindly suggested Jean Plaidy historical books. Miss O has a very fine website devoted to Plaidy--a website that I visited with great interest several months ago, because I've always been a big fan of Victoria Holt books. Yes, Holt and Plaidy are one and the same.
I was hooked on Holt from an early age, when I read her Menfreya in the Morning. I believe I've read everything the author wrote as Holt and as Phillippa Carr, but I don't think I've read the Plaidy books. I should remedy that.
Come to think of it, I actually blogged about this very thing a few months ago, and talked about other beloved books from my childhood.
Man, I love to read!
So what are YOU reading right now?
