Gracefully Aging, Day 24: The Joy of Grandparenting

One of the biggest blessings of getting older is become a grandparent.  Being Nana to three precious little boys is one of the greatest joys I've ever experienced! Here are some quotes about grandparenting.

I would love it if my grandchildren someday feel this way about me.

Baby Landon is here!

Landon Garrett Swanson, born October 19, 2013

Landon is my third and newest grandchild, and the first one that I was able to be there for his birth! Just as I knew, my heart has expanded to love him every bit as much as I love 6-year-old Payton and almost 4-year -old Josiah.  I'm so glad I was able to spend the first two weeks of Landon's life with him.  Thankfully, I'm going back to Texas for Christmas...I can't wait to see how he's grown and developed by then!

Josiah is enjoying getting to be a big brother!

Payton Explains a Video Game

It's Monday, and I'm off and running on another busy week.  Not much time for blogging today, so I thought (as a proud Nana) I'd share a short video of my grandsons.

The older one, Payton (5) is explaining to my son Justin how to play a certain video game.

The younger one, Josiah (2) is just having random fun.

Watch it for a grin. :)

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday: An 11-second video of my grandson

I don't know if Payton is quoting from something here, but I think it's pretty adorable.

One of the cutest phone "conversations" ever

Granted, this is my little grandson Josiah, so I'm biased...but I think this is totally adorable.

What's really cute is that he obviously really thinks he's talking on the phone. Toward the end, he has such a mixture of concern and annoyance on his face, it actually looks like he's dealing with a problem!

Enjoy.

The birthday boy...

Happy 1st Birthday, Josiah Daniel!

My little grandson Josiah can get the sweetest looks on his little face

I've been in Texas since last Tuesday night, thoroughly enjoying being with a bunch of my loved ones who live here.

One of the main purposes of my visit was the 1st birthday of my youngest grandson, Josiah Daniel--often called JD.

My older grandson, Payton, will be four in January. It's been wonderful getting to spend some quality time with him!
Here are a few pictures from my trip so far...starring the birthday boy!

Payton is a fun little guy with tons of personality!

I love my little guys more than I could possibly express!
